Get in touch with the National Guild of Hypnotists at (603) 429-9438 (e-mail: ngh@ngh.net) as soon as possible. If the staff can't answer your question, they will likely refer you to Rev. C. Scott Giles, DMin, BCC, CI. He's the legislation "guru" for this professional organization. He always presents a legislative update covering all/each of the states at the NGH annual educational conference & convention (which, incidentally, is also coming up in a couple of weeks) and he's very much involved in legislation and licensing matters (lobbying, etc.). An added plus for you is that he lives and practices in Illinois!
Another resource to contact would be the National Federation of Hypnotists 104 OPEIU AFL-CIO CLC (the professionals' union). You can either phone or fax to this number: 207-846-6989.
