Hi im a real newbie. Just wondering if there were any good sources of info to get started with hypnosis. im expecially interested in rapid induction. any help appreciated. chris |

A course in pyschology often leads to a basic understanding of how the mind works---go to night school for 3 years and then start researching hypnosis-- |

I have to agree In part with Anthony, proper training is important, yet I also am a little more flexible, in my thinking, more along, these lines, someone as shown an interest, in hypnosis, mmmmmmm now can we point them in the right direction, as we have been down that path, our selves, or do we do our best to make a compound suggestion, that tries to demerit, other contributions, we live in a very fast world, and there is good sourced information and not so good sourced information, about all kinds of subjects, other then hypnosis, fast inductions are so much fun, yet what do you do, once you have zoned someone to the floor In 30 seconds flat? Ho and that’s on an off day.
There is so much more to hypnosis, than just the induction aspects, I started learning about all things hypnosis, only a very short 14 years ago,yet so many people just don’t get it, and tend to favour, direct classical hypnosis, or indirect Ericksonian, My education stated out with Direct Hypnosis, and for a little while I championed, that as the only way, then I came across NLP, and did my first NLP training with Richard Bandler, and I stated to see and hear the beauty, and power in conversational indirect hypnosis and also the merits, in both styles, yet that’s not giving you much to go with.
Look up Dave Elman’s book hypnotherapy; we have a very nice fella on site called Mark Gil, Who sources the book and would be happy to point in to the web site, where you can get a copy.
As your more then lightly, going to keep looking, for this information, no matter what is said, NLPweekly.com as a number of ok articles on speed inductions.
Yet Training will serve you best.

Chris, anyuone who will offer you information as asked, is likely to be on the wrong path as are you. If you want to play with hypnosis, we won't help, because we are serious about our skills, and how we use them. If you want to help others, you will get proper training in order to do so, there is no safe shortcut. I speak as one who has been in practise for thirty eight years, and of course there are others who have been in practise even longer, and you will find that we all care about how this art is used, and who uses it in a safe manner. If you don't want to do it the right way, that is fine, but don't expect us to aid you please. Proper training gives a safe grounding for your progress, which is based on experience and study of the various uses that involve hypnotic techniques. It costs, and often you will find you don;t have what is needed to start a successful business, so you do it part time instead, but the rewards are great if you do it right, and it could involve a lot of heartache if you do it wrong. |
