During hypnosis I feel the need to determine if it is working so that I know I am doing it successfully and going deeper than before. however I need to analyze it while it happens to do this and doesn't that kinda ruin it? and I used to think I was experiencing certain effects such as tingling sensations and so forth but now I realize that there was something at the back of my mind that was not immersed therefore it wasn't truly being felt.
tbh I find hypnosis to be extremely complicated in execution but also keeping track of progress which turns out not to of been very much i'm afraid. |

Every one experiences hypnosis differently, and even then some people experience different things each time they are hypnotised. I would stop worrying about whether it is working or not and just enjoy the relaxation. You know it's working when it's over you feel better than you did when you started. When you just let go of the analysis and enjoy the experience you are bound to have great experiences. |

mere practice could resolve my difficulty? I must admit that I got some results today as I did feel vague tingling and muscle relaxation when the tape suggested it, but other things like feeling as if I had no bones didn't. |

Practice either on your own, or, preferably (for quicker/better results) with an experienced hypnotist will usually resolve this issue. |
