Just had a discussion as to whether hypnosis to make you more honest and to want to tell the truth. Do you think this is the case? If so is it always good to tell the truth?

[Moderator note: Interesting that this person chose this title Honesty on this thread since it was an obvious attempt to spam a nothing post in order to get their link to their web site into our forum. The links have been removed - this person has been banned for using three different usernames to post links even after being told it was against our policy - which is written into the Registration Agreement that everyone must agree to before gaining access to post in the forums. Anyone who does this type of behavior can expect the same result.]

I think there is a notable reduction in conscientiousness within society.
Less sense of responsibility. I see a large combination of factors that contribute to this.
I think a significant current factor is the economy. It makes people more fearful and more "desperate" which allows them to mentally/emotionally justify actions that they would not have just a few years ago.

Yes, this person continues to post under multiple names and topics just to get the links - they have been warned and will now be banned. I do not know what it is but more and more people think this is a legitimate form of advertising. Drop in and say "I agree" or some short cryptic post and then put their link into the signature. This particular person even contacted us by email about why they could not post anymore (pervious username was blocked for spamming) and were informed to not spam the forum. Next thing we know here he is again (under a third name now in less than three days later) just posting to get a link.
It is akin to the rising rate of plagiarism off the Internet in that people think it is all perfectly fine to do this type of thing. I know a Professor in a college that has all her students sign a covenant that they will not plagiarize with a penalty of failing the class on the very first offense and yet more than half the class is failed before they reach the midterm for taking paragraphs word for word off the Internet and claiming it as their own writing. Are they just lazy or do they think that anything on the Internet is free to use. Similar with this form of link spam do people somehow think they have a right to just do whatever they want? I do not see this getting any better and in fact see a real trend of more abuse.

So either you had some terrible, worthless training, or you're just posting spam for the link.
