I went to a hypnotherapist and when she did her induction she put something on the table next to me that made a static electricity crackling sort of sound. What would it have been? The reason I ask is that when she was doing the induction I had these very peculiar visual aura patterns (with my eyes closed) that I had never had before with other hypnotists -- the visual pattern looked almost like a radar scope, like the way the green line sweeps around the radar screen in an arc (best I can describe it). I'm wondering if the static gadget thing may have had something to do with the visuals that I saw. |

I don't use any props myself. But an old hypnotherapist I knew had something like you're describing. Think she bought it in the mid-80's.
Supposed to create some biorhythms brain wave type of thing to aid in the induction. It made static noise and... I can't remember if it gave off an ozone odor or not.
Anyway, the visualization you had is much more likely an indirect result of your mind processing the static/electrical noise rather than as a direct result of the item. |

I actually never saw it (my eyes were closed and I forgot to look to see what it was at the end of the session), I just heard her turn it on and then I heard it making a crackling noise during the induction. Any ideas? |

Was the thing she put on the table a box shaped deal? Maybe 12" tall, 12" wide and around 8" deep? |
