I`m new here iv been into hypnosis for a few years just for myself though.
I am very interested in practising self hypnosis and havn't really had alot of success, iv used various books, but like a said I dont think iv been very successfull. Is it me? or maybe the way im doing it or what iv tried tapes, alsorts but dont feel like im getting the results I should be. Can anyone advise of of where to go now?

Posted - 07/20/2007 : 10:47:53 AM Hi Craig Self hypnosis is ridiculously easy- so much so- that many people seem to try to add to it to make it a little more complex so it feels like it as to be an effort to do. There are a few simple steps that I want you to consider- yet theses steps are not the only ways in which to go- yet offer an easy way to get there- Step one relaxation- for a few days say 3 times a day take a little time- to get as relaxed as you can- take from 15-25 minutes- pay attention to where you are most comfortable in your body and focus your attention there- then allow the rest of you body to go to the same level of comfort- at a few points a long the way- take a slow deep breath and say the word (hypnosis now) you can of course use any other key word- yet for this reply I will use (hypnosis now) You might find tensing and releasing your muscles from the top of your head to the tip of you toes- a good aid into deeper relaxation- So the next bit of you to consider is what specific results do you want from the self hypnosis sessions? Take a little time to imagine- what would you be saying doing and feeling if you had already add the results that you wanted- them from there you can- take out the suggestion word pictures- that give you a sense of having the behaviours you wantif you use static suggestions then this will not impact your other than conscious mind in away that allows you to get the results you are wanting- So once you have the ideas thoughts and feelings of the results you want- take a little time to get comfortable say your key words- and start to run the suggestions- creating a mental movie of you doing- being- seeing and feeling the new ways you want- As part of your journey take a little time to go into the future and to see how theses new ways of being in the world effect- other aspects of your life- and from there make any adjustments that you need- so you can have a healthy balanced new way of doing life-
