I was wondering if you fine people could give me some advice from your own experiences.
I'm seeing a client for the firs time next week who percieves he has OCD. The manifests itself in several ways and has done since a very young age. My approach to exploring and treating this is going to go something like this.
Find out the positive intention behind the unwanted behaviour and have the unconscious mind come up with creative alternatives to satisfy the intention and perhaps then use a bit of timeline/memory resolution. Tell a story in trance which has lots of suggestions in there about letting go of old behaviours etc...
I was also toying with the idea of dipping into NLP and doing a visual squash parts integration and perhaps chucking in a swish pattern using the various visual triggers for the OCD behaviour to assocaiate to new behaviours.
To wrap it all up I intend to ask my client to record down in a diary every time he chooses a compulsive behaviour.
Any thoughts from your own experiences with this sort of thing?

OCD is not really a hard thing to deal with, elicit the so called OCD strategy/s and turn it/them in to a T>O>T>E and you might find that the operation stage there is a loop this is the cause of the repetitive structure, dismantle the operational codes by running them backwards and blowing them out by turning the colours up and out beyond threshold, add in a host of new behaviours/strategies that replace the operational structures, use the new history generator- and even consider a re-imprint, add and aversion anchor and place that in a way where if he starts to go back he gets uneasy about doing the old behaviour.
Things to consider using “time distortion (slow)” so it feels like it takes 1/2/3 or more hours just to do one cycle i.e. wash his hands, or what ever the repetitive behaviour maybe, this way he will get bored of his mind if he ever goes back to entraining that.
OCD there seems to be on some level a disassociation so if you can find that part or parts, and create a wholeness/integration then when you are doing the clean up work with future pacing and doing a very thorough ecology check while in trance and using idiomatic yes no signals to make sure you get a full whole person integration, and the work that you have done is going to be generative.
Hope that is helpful
Jay
“After thought” something else to consider is eliciting the time line from the point of view of when he his doing the OCD and when he is not, this could open up a whole way of interventions as well as if there was a time line reorganization/ in doing the OCD and when he is not/ you can rewire the time indexes of the way the time line is being operated.
