Once again i repeat---A script is just another word for knowledge---A script is not a magic formula--A script is knowledge of your subject--Perhaps one should ask for advice or help regarding ones lack of expertise--
Anthony has a lot to give--but we have to forgive his advancement in years for his lack of patience--

You are correct, you didn't say what you wanted it for, and I apologise, for jumping to conclusions, something I do for excercise these days. I am not however, "bent out of shape", so perhaps I am not the only one jumping to conclusions. On the other hand, neither am I your pal, and have a reasonable notion of why you requested this information. I therefor respectfully decline to reply to your request. As for hypnodoc, it;s not me you need to worry about, but you own attitude to ethics. What you choose to do is your business and has no effect on me. I offer advice, take it or leave it, why should I care? |

First of all, my post was polite, correct in all respects, and a needed reply to idiocy. As for telling me what I should post, when I should post, or to whom I should post, when did you become the arbitor of what can be posted here? I thought that might be left to the person or persons who set this board up and keep it running. Certainly, without the few here who are good at what they do, it would soon become a cesspool of misinformation..... Hypnodoc, shame on you for encouraging and defending this. You should know that what I said is accurate, and your remarks about occassional use of scripts is pure garbage for anyone practising to professional standards...I note you chose to keep silent about the malpractise also, and perhaps witheld a reply on the script request for fear of being implicated, yet you fail to support the facts. |

Many times a script can give a busy Hypnotherapist some good sound ideas for direction and approach that they may have not come up with without the script. It cannot hurt to compare notes with others especially if the other has had some experience with the target subject.
In the hands of a professional the pre-existing script is a helpful tool and not one to be put down. No one is telling anyone to read any script word for word and call it Hypnosis. Bottom line is that reading through someone else's script (who has obviously had some experience with the issue if they wrote a script for it) can in many cases give insight and alternative views/direction which can be used to start the creative juices flowing. |

I have a couple of problems with your request. First your request for a script. If you are competent to deal with a problem, you must also recognise that a script written by someone else, for an unseen client, is not hyponosis, it is playing at hypnosis, and not to be encouraged. Secondly, you reffer to medical problems by name, and this negates against any help for an ethical practitioner, since we don't encroach into the medical field, and can be charged with practising medicine without a licence if we do. The use of scripts is something for temporary use while learning to understand the value of words in our practise, and until such time as you learn to develop your own, based on the individual needs of the client, you are not competent to deal with any major problem. Anyone encouraging you to do so does a disservice to our art, and risks charges as do you. |
