hi everyone,
I am from Canada and I wonder if anyone has any ideas on how to treat Hypochondria. This client lost family members and friends due to cancer,leukemia, etc....so now he gets anxiety every time he goes to the doctor, because he's afraid that the doctor may say something terrible.

There are many ways to cope with this problem, but nothing I can think of which could be used as a canned script. One needs to know the client, and question them in order to find the proper aproach.
Relaxation will help with the fear, but that is not going to eradicate, just ease the feelings. |
