I would like to have the opinion of the members about the possible dangers (if any) in self hypnosis (regression) if the person is alone an enter in state of shock.
I many of the videos and books we can see that the practicioner monitoring and assisting the client to calm down or out of the stage in which he/she is in if panic occurs.
I have order the book Life Between Lives Hypnotherapy (2004)by M. Newton and I would like to know if there is any other good books about the technical information regarding Hypnotherapy (regression and LBL)

People who embark on PLR are often looking for answers to unsatisfactory current lives. Therefore any successful PLR could bring up emotions that are challenging and difficult to understand or deal with. The PLR assumes that problems in past Lives are brought through to current life. As with any hypnosis dealing with suppressed emotions (most of our problems stem from this on some level) it has the potential to make you feel worse before you feel better. That is why we sometimes get people who can't stay the course saying that they were made worse by their hypnotherapist. Therefore, if you are embarking on an emotional journey of this sort you should be prepared. It is similar to other forms of self-realisation in that sense. |

I'd never recommend regression work with self-hypnosis.
There is the small chance of an abreaction, like you describe.
Also, the chance of the regression, or any non-script work, being successful is vastly reduced. |
