Posted - 05/13/2004 : 9:23:50 PM I have a friend who has a fear of dancing. He says he can not dance very well and when he is on the dancefloor he feels everybody is looking at him. In other situations he is a very confident person. Anybody have a script or method to help? |

Get him into more dance lessons so he will want everybody looking at him; all the women wanting to dance with him and all the guys wanting to be him. |

Ok you might like to have your friend play with this, little process.
Sit and relax in anyway that works best for them, now have them pick a roll model, somebody that as the skills that there want to learn, have them imagine that person doing that skill inside there mind, in as much detail as possible, now have your friend copy what he or she sees the roll model doing, now after a little while have your friend become the roll model, in his/her imagination run with this for some time maybe a hour or longer just going through, lots of different dance moves, just like the roll model.
Now have you friend pick a few time in real life where they felt at there best, most confident and powerful, now when there have this best feeling have then press there finger and thumb together, repeat that a number of times, now have them thing about there roll model and feeling good about dancing, know have them running through the roll model step and at the same time press the finger and thumb, together.
Now take all this learning and go back in time about ten years ago, making sure it a good time back there, now back there press the finger and thumb, and have them move forward day by day, week by week month by month in to the present and into the future by about 30 years, and at each point press the finger and thumb.
Do this faster and faster each time you run through this process, and you might find that with in just a very short time your friend will feel good about dancing.
Ok Now have your friend make a cup of coffee, and ask them if they feel good, or does anything feel out of place, if yes, just have them thing about how there felt before this and what do there need to do in just the right ways that work for them. When they feel that this feels right press have them press the finger and thumb. And this will reset anything that need to be sorted out.
