I teach wt. mgmt. in groups and one on one. My clients have reported excellent results (I have used my own program and have lost 40+ lbs. to date). We work together to explore the reasons for the eating habits; teach healthier eating and the importance of moving the body. I then use hypnosis to reinforce all the information. A weight loss of 1-2 lbs per week is a very healthy loss. Groups are 3 sessions. One on one depends on how much a person has to take off. As Terry mentioned, it took you years to put the weight on, it will take time and motivation on your part to release the fat. |

Being "desparate" because of a slight discrepancy in what you weigh as against what is taken as normal seems to be a little obsesive don't you think? Anyway taking off the inches is easily accomplished. What you really need to worry about, is keeping it off. Since you are online, may I suggest you do a little investigation of your own, and don't depend on the rest of us to find locations for you. That is laziness, and not to be allowed to continue if you intend to have the right atttitude to accomplish your goals. It shouldn't be too hard in Southern Ontario, to find a reputable practitioner by looking up the various Societies to which practitioners belong. Just type "Hypnosis" or "Hypnosis Groups" and go from there. Terry E.

In response to your email re: weight loss, i haven't any degrees in hypnosis, just very interested in this therapy. I am over weight by approx.23 lbs. & having absolutely no luck with any diet - so could you please tell me where i can go for treatment here in Ontario Canada? I heard that there is a clinic of some sort in Oshawa Ontario but do not know much about it, so any help would be great. I am so desperate that i am almost willing to try anything!!!

It took years to put on the weight, it will take weeks or months to take it off....... Do you know the cause or causes of the obesity? Without such knowledge, it will take much longer to achieve success. Note that poor eating habits, and poor choices of diet are much more likely to
be the cause of obesity than overeating. Also, lack of interest in food often leads to obesity, since we tend to leave food alone until we are starving, and then eat quickly instead of eating calmly three to four time each day. Terry E.
