Hello,
I am new to the subject of hypnosis and I have a big problem with allergies. No, i'm not allergic to the dentist but I can not have local anthesedics but i need work done on my teeth. Can hypnosis help with that and are there any hypnotist in the Orlando Florida area that are recommended to go too?
I see a few listings in the general area in the phone book but I don't know them or thier reputation.

The problem here is time.Most dentists are too busy to use hypnosis-best bet is to try hypnosis with a therapist before going to the dentist and if it works for you, then take your therapist with you

I suggest you ring all the dentists in your area - use the Yellow Pages - There must be some dentists using Hypnosis who doesn't necessarily advertise that fact. Good Luck.

I'm on the other side of the pond here in the uk so I cant recommend anyone in Orlando - perhaps other members from the States will know someone who they can recommend. Failing that there are many lists of therapists posted on various websites that will put you in touch with a local therapist. Good luck

Hi there - Yes Hypnosis can be of immense help to you. I recently accompanied a client to the dental hygineist as he had been unable to tolerate the feeling of the tools in his mouth. In trance a complete anesthesia of his jaw, gums and teeth was attained and the hygineist worked for 25 minutes to clean up his mouth. If you have any doubt read Dave Elmans book - Hypnotherapy. He describes in detail how to achieve anesthesia for dental work (even if his book is considered by some to be old fashioned...have teeth changed in 20 years?)
