Hello Lynn,
The trick would be finding someone who has experience with this situation. Posting on this board should help but you need to post that you live in the London area.
You can also search though the Hypnosis Listings Database to find Professionals in your area. You can email them from there and ask if they have experience with stroke.

thanks so much for your positivee mail, the problem with myself is that the left side of my brain needs to take up the left side of my body,as the right side of the brain is were the damage was done being only 40 at the time was a great shock to me

Hello Lynn, Here's the good news! An experienced, skilled hypnotherapist can be of great help in assisting recovery from a stroke. However, be sure to ask if the therapist has previous experience with stroke victims. Ask for testimonials from previous stroke clients. Those who have been helped will be glad to talk to you on the phone or even to meet with you. Be careful of therapists offering little more thsan glowing promises and pleasant personalities.
