Does anyone in this group have experience using or teaching hypnosis to manage seizures? Ericksonian therapy was very helpful in learning to bring my own intractable seizures under control. A right temporal lobectomy and partial lobotomy in 1988 did not stop my seizures. Come this July, I will be seizure free for two years without the use of drugs for about five years.
Is anyone interested in discussing behavioral treartment of seizures? I'm about finished with the first draft of a self-help book on managing seizures and hope to have more information on this issue to include in the book. It is well established that hypnosis has been effective in treating seizure disorders and this raises some questions about the conventional model of seizures. Thanks for any feedback.
