Is it possible to have someone hypnotised to find out if they are lying? And if it is possible, how accurate is it? |

Memory can be a slippery thing to work with. If you are looking to prove or disprove your memories, it may just end up frustrating you and the hypnotist. You have an expected or hoped for outcome which would influence that outcome.

Well I wonder then if hypnosis is even anything but a spoof after what I read. I came to this forum wondering if any threads on Bigfoot and hypnosis are here. I am interested in being hypnotised to reveal more about my UFO sightings and my Bigfoot sightings, If memories can be reshaped, what good would hypnosis be other than hopeful wishing to find answers that you yourself can reshape? would this not make Hypnosis useless?
Can a sighting be revisited without something I read or saw reshaping what really happened?
This was depressing. I was hoping to hear that Hypnosis was a valuable tool in such research. |

Also, you ask, "is it possible to have someone hypnotised" no it is not, hypnosis is dependant on the client or subject wanting to be hypnotised not forced into it, so your question fails on two grounds. |

Hypnosis cannot be used as a lie detector.
Hypnotized subjects can lie deliberately
or due to memories which have been reshaped.
Numerous state Supreme Courts have ruled out
the use of hypnotically induced memories.
The United States Supreme Court has set
strict rules and limits on the use 0f hypnosis
