Hi all! Anyone have good advice about treating a twelve year old boy with Oppositional Defiance Disorder and ADHD? I have one script that looks pretty vague, but I'm curious about what techniques were used.
Any info whatsoever would be greatly appreciated!

Tracy, strip away the fancy letters of description, and what are you left with? Seems to me you are left with a brat, who chooses damn it, to walk his or her own path in defiance of authority..... (EG)
If I were offered the chance to meet such a child, I would give thanks to God for the opportunity. These children are rare, I have one such grandaughter, and though she had chosen to walk a different path to her siblings, and get into trouble at the same time, is gradually coming round to a more sensible path, and doing it without coercion from her family, who chose instead to give love, but not support in areas were their own conciences were being affected. She now sees more clearly, and has chose to follow a more normal path but still with the stubborn attitude that will stand her in good stead later in life.
Don't write this child off as a problem, rather enjoy meeting a whole individual, who will only be guided by love and friendship, not by direction based on age. At the same time, such an individual is less likely to choose other pathways such as drugs etc, simply because these are the common pathways for kids, and the road most used is not for them. If you can take this attitude, you will win even without hypnosis, in fact, don't offer hypnosis unless you are sure it is what the child wants. Anthony.... |
