Hi all.
New to the hypnosis game. Have 2 questions.
1 - Read somewhere that self hypnosis only allows you to enter a state of calm and relaxation. If so, how do you then stay alert enough to condition yourself to whatever it is you want? How can you successfully self hypnotize yourself to stop smoking, or exercise more, or whatnot?
2 - Is it possible to perform hypnosis via Skype or something? Living a couple of hundred miles from the nearest licensed hypnotherapist, it'd be easier for me. |

1 - Self-hypnosis can also be used to reinforce affirmations. Write your affirmations that help you achive your goal. Learn them as a script, you don't have to be very deeply relaxed to benefit from them. You can also record your own mp3 and use this as self-hypnosis.
2 - Hypnosis via skype is under heavy discussion. Some hypnotherapists use it. Several comments when you google GHR skype hypnotherapy. It's not ideal, but could be sufficient when any possible problems are overcome e.g. lose skype connection midway, so you have a mobile phone back up to communicate and restart? |
