Please help... I really do want to go under hypnosis and I try so hard trust me I have watched so many vids and listened to so many audios. No matter what I do it just doesn't work. My body will relax fine but I keep twitching and I absolutely CANNOT relax my mind. It may be an issue of concentration? But I'm pretty sure that I concentrate fine. I'm not expecting for it to be like in the movies, but when i watch/ listen to a sleep hypnosis vid/audio I want to fall asleep... but I don't. And don't say it's because I don't want to go into hypnosis because I can assure you I DO. Am I somehow blocking it without my knowing it? Please help! |

Could be you're trying too hard instead of letting it happen!
Trouble is the lack of success will become embedded. Best find a good therapist as previously suggested to get you started. |

Go to a good hypnotist to help you troubleshoot the issue and teach you self-hypnosis. This should be able to be done in one session. |

The short answer would be "probably, yes".
It sounds like there is something in the way of you achieving "depth".
That can be several things.. expectations of what it feels like, behavioral "blocking", anxiousness about NOT achieving depth getting in the way of your relaxation.... or?? |
