I can't get hypnotized. I have no idea why, but no matter what I try, what I look up, watch, read, etc. I have never been hypnotized. I've always wanted to be hypnotized but it just doesn't work for me for some reason. Any help?  |

No I do not... they probably exist, but because I do hypnosis as a full time job, I've had no reason to look for them... and in my opinion, if it's being given away for free, you have to question the motivation and quality. In the past I've viewed a lot of those sites, and youtube vids that has reinforced my opinion.
There are people on this forum, myself included, who will work to help people learn self-hypnosis. |

So a couple basic possibilities.... you're getting some level of hypnosis but are not aware of it, or you need a technique that you haven't tired yet. |

Mainly YouTube videos. These have worked really really well for lots of people I know, and they are good quality, they just don't work well for me. Also read a guide once.. forgot what it was, though. |

I have not been to a hypnotist, nor do I know of any in my area. I have tried self-hypnosis, though. |

Hypnosis can be tricky for someone the first go-around...
Have you been trying self-hypnosis or been to a hypnotist? |

Expectations are a big part of it... many people look at trying hypnosis and expect leprechauns and unicorns... that just doesn't happen.
It feels like a pretty normal state of mind, but, it is different. Reading a good book, talking on the phone, watch TV/movie.. doing a job. These are all situations where most people unintentionally enter a state of hypnosis. Doing it on purpose is different and usually enables increased 'depth' of hypnosis. |

Ok let me put it a different way- How would you know if you was or was not in hypnosis? If you was in hypnosis what do you think feel, the experience would be like? (expectations)
