4.0.4 What if my ZIP file says it is corrupt when I try to open it?
PROBLEM: Many of our MP3 download files can become corrupt if you are using a dial-up connection to attempt to download the file. Due to the large size of the file (20+MB) and the instability in the dial-up connection, many times the file may appear to be stopped or paused and this could result in a corrupt final ZIP file. We have warned against attempting to use a dial-up connection for these large file downloads in the product description and details pages. We highly recommend a broadband connection for our MP3/audio downloads.
ANSWER: Try using an alternate computer with a broadband connection. If you only have dial-up access to the Internet, let us know - we will send you the file via mail on CDROM format.
PROBLEM: Do not try to open the ZIP file until the download has completed. You may even want to wait a few minutes before attempting to open it. Sometimes when it says it is "complete" your computer may still be writing the ZIP file to the hard drive. Attempted to open it before it is finished writing can sometimes cause a corruption problem. It can also be in the process of being scanned/checked by your anti-virus software which can also cause it to appear to be finished but not be completely written to the drive.
ANSWER: Try the download again - use the Customer Service log-in area. You may wish to save the file to a different folder and delete the current corrupt file on your computer before you download again. Wait a few minutes before attempting to open the ZIP file after the download completes.
