I didn't know what NLP actually refers to. Some of the theories seemed to be plausible to to me, and I knew some cults make use of NLP to make fool of some gullible people.

What on earth is NLP? There is a dichotomy between NLP supporters and oppenents. One of the sources from Wikipedia almost scraps NLP and it shaped my negative belief in that.

Until I found some books co-authored by Erickson and them, and Erickson credited them, that encouraged me to read their books about NLP. The books by Bandler and Grinder reshapes the model of the world of mine, and introduce me into a wonderful world of linguistics, hypnosis, philosophy, belief, psychology, logic, etc.

I was so eager to bolt down a page after another without really grasping what the model they built.

I was a materialist as I was educated so.

Now I find myself is like a frog that sits at the bottom of a well, and just looks up the skies above the well which is very limited, and thinks the skies I see is the real sky. I found this is close to the philosophy of "the map is not the territory" promoted by Bandler and Grinder, and other NLPers.

The world of individuals' is shaped by five channels mostly.

If you want to change the worlds ofp people, just change what they see, hear, smell, feel, taste, and they will change their beliefs automatically.

That's what the media outlets do for the people. If they want to launch a war against another countries, just paint a picture after another picture how atrocrious a tyrant is before the imaginery eyes of audience.

Some hypnotists claim belief is everything for hypnosis.

Yet, I don't agree totally. Belief does help, but it is not a must.

In a cinema, I watch, listen to the films, and I would be moved to tears, but meanwhie I know those are not true, but just can't help myself.

When I talk to myself at the moment, I suddenly realise why pacing any of the five channels are so important.

It's not just about pacing the experience, but reshaping the model of the subject.

Most people just believe what they see, hear, feel, what they experience only, except for me.

That's why people are cheated by the con artists who are naturally virtually hypnotists.

NLP founded by Bandler and Grind helps me understand the world of Buddhism.

I was in a country where Maxist Materialism is dominant, though there are many Buddhists and other faith believers.

I had thought Buddhism was superstious. After reading a book by the two NLP gurus, I realise what the Buddha say is true.

Thousands years ago, the Buddha said the world doesn't exist, it is the creation by our eyes, noses, hears, body, feel, taste, etc. This is almost similar to the philosophy of Bandler and Grind. (I don't tanslate the Buddhist scripture verbatim, but this is my interpretatoin, and I am not sure if I am correct.)

Why could the Buddha have such a insight? I assume he practiced meditation which is similar to hypnosis when it comes to the effect.

In Buddhist Scriptures, there are records about past lives, future lives, but I'm not sure if these do really exist.

Some hypnotists can lead the subjects to go back their past lives, or so-called past lives.

I don't know how reliable it is as the subject can be influenced and misled by not appropriate words.

For example, double bind or presupposition is to try to mislead the subject. I don't say these are bad. I just say these can mislead the subject to make up their illusion about their past lives.

I will go on writing my own understanding on hypnosis.

Many hypnotists say hynosis has nothing to do with relaxation or trance. I agree it and don't agree either.

It's not a must to relax to induce hypnosis, but relaxation is an induction.

Why the subject is on alert, or nervous, in other words, their conscious mind is online critically examing every info.

When the body relaxes, the conscious mind will be off guard.

My understanding is:

body --> mind

mind --> body

This is always a circle. This is what the hypnotherapy is based on.

Yet, instant induction doesn't use relaxation.

Trance is not hypnosis.

Unfortunately some hypnotists keep talking about trance. It's just a phenomenon like eye catelepsy.

I feel like hypnotists just simply create an imaginationland for the subjects to the journey, mostly via verbal painting.

If the subjects know how to employ the power of imagination, and they can do whatever the hypnotists can do.

I'm wondering whether writers are self-hynotising when they are wrtiing the stories.

I think almost everyone can make up a story, or have any fancy. There are just skilled ones and clumsy ones. And I guess this just needs to practice.

PS. I prefer using "subjects" instead of "clients" who are charged for the service.

To by pass critical factor

1. Expectation: Remove resistance
2. Rapport: Mirroring and pacing: Remove resistance
3. covert compliance tests: Take off your glasses, move a little bit forward, etc.
4. Cultivate imagination test as well as ideomotor, for magnetic palm.
5. Linguistic skill
(1)pacing and leading(Five sensories): Remove resistance
(2)Install trojans with conjunction words, presupposition
(3)Install trojans via metaphor, stories, quotes
I know there are other techniques, i.e. confusion, embedded.

However it is currently beyond my capacity right now. I want to practice my skill above again and again until they become my instinct.

Instant inductions are much easier than conversational hypnosis.

Conversational hypnosis can be applied to our daily life like negotiaton, influence other people.

With conversational hypnosis, I found out that the hypnotist always wants to cheat, confuse the subject('s conscious mind)by all means.

Lie to it,

confuse it,

send trojans to it

Mislead it with plausible statements

It is like a game about police and thief.

The Emperor's New Clothes by Hans Anderson was a stunning waking massive hypnosis induced by the two con artists who created a different reality for the emperor and almost all people.

I suddenly realise this.

When I was a pupil, I just thought that was just a funny story, and the emperor was just too stupid, and only children were the most lovely.

I had thought "pacing" was just for tearing down the resistant wall, and I didn't realise that "pacing" is actually an attention fixation until now.

I didn't really understand why meditation would play such an important role in enlightening people.

Now I got it. Most people's mentality|(conscious mind|) is rigid. Everyone has their own programmed pattern. People are virtually bio-robots.

While meditation can break the pattern, so there is a terminoloyg which is called sudden enlightenment.

Inhibition is the cause.

Andrew Salter mentioned inhibition is the cause for as many as problems.

Erickson also mentioned about inhibiton.

Bandler and Grinder mentioned there are no enough models for choices.

All of these people virtually point out- in hibition in different words.

I read a thread today. A woman confesses that she has an affair, and seeks for advice online.

And she said she understands the advice which suggests her to stop, however the advice would be like water off the back of a duck.

I think she is fighting with her subconscious mind -emotion vs conscious mind direct suggestion.

The emotion always has very stronger power than the advice to the conscious mind.

I found the idea of utilisation is very close to Chinese martial art Taiji which don't attack opponent voluntarily, but wait and utilitize their force and guide them.

Taoism promotes no doing which Milton harboured to such a similiar idea to.

There was not resistence of the subject before Milton.

He accepted and guilded the subject to recall and then naturally introduce him into trance. It was so amazing.

Hypnosis is a toy house with each make-believed building blocks.

One is accepted as truth.

The second is accepted as truth.

The thid is accepted as truth or truism.

Then you can build whatever houses you like with the imagination.
